  • What is Schizoaffective Disorder?
    Schizoaffective Disorder is a mental illness that presents characteristics of both Schizophrenia and a major mood disorder such as Bipolar Disorder or Depression. Symptoms include but are not limited to hallucinations, delusions, disorganized thinking/speech, mania, depression, and negative symptoms.
  • Do you live with any other mental illnesses?
    Yes, I also live with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Gereralized Anxiety Disorder, and Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I've experienced severe anxiety for most of my life, while I began experiencing symptoms of Schizoaffective Disorder in my early twenties.
  • Are you impacted by any other disabilities?
    Yes, I have recently become disabled by Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and some of its comorbidities including Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and Gastroparesis. These conditions greatly impact the treatment of my mental health.
  • Why did you start Bipolarisms?
    I want to share my experiences living with this illness and act as a resource to anyone struggling with their mental health.
